Job Title: Clinical Nurse Specialist

Duties and Responsibilities
The goal of this client is to provide the best possible care to all of those at their facilities: patients, families and employees alike.

The hired candidate will serve as a role model of excellence in nursing knowledge and clinical practice. Major roles of the Clinical Nurse Specialist include those of practitioner, educator, consultant, researcher, change agent, and Clinical Guideline Manager within the Labor and Delivery Department.

Graduate preparation in Nursing from an Accredited College or University as a Clinical Nurse Specialist. Minimum 3 yrs labor and delivery experience. Strong mentoring and leadership qualities. Excellent communication skills in working with patients and families, staff, clinical nurse educators, surgery and medicine staff physicians and managers. Proactive in leading patient care towards best practices based upon a thorough understanding of evidenced-based medicine and research findings. Able to lead and consult other healthcare providers in performance improvement activities. Able to do hands-on education with staff and maintains clinical expertise in field. Significant experience with Clinical Guideline development and implementation. Proven research capabilities.
